As part of your preparation for a course, your virtual classroom desktop should meet specific requirements. Following are the requirements for a PC setup:

• Hardware
• PC
• Telephone Connection
• High-speed Internet access such as DSL or cable
• PC System
• Windows 98, 2000, XP, 2003, or Vista
• Web browser such as Internet Explorer 6/7, Firefox 2/3, Mozilla 1.7 or higher, or Netscape 8.1 or higher (Vista supports Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2/3 browsers only)
• JavaScript and cookies need to be enabled
• ActiveX enabled for Internet Explorer (recommended)
• Secure Shell (SSH)-capable terminal emulator
